New 7 wonders of the world

I just found an interesting travel news few days ago and I want to share it with you.A contest is going on right now where everyone can participate and vote for the new 7 wonders of the world. The voting will end this July 6, so you still have the chance to cast your favorites (through phone and internet) and let your vote counts. You can cast your votes at http://www.new7wonders.com.I already voted for my best bet.

According to the organizers, they already received about 50million votes from different parts of the world. However, Latin Americans and Asians have been the most enthusiastic voters while Americans and Europeans have the lowest participation so far.

The Great Wall, the Colosseum and Machu Picchu are among the leading contenders to be the new seven wonders of the world, while also in the top 10 are Greece's Acropolis, Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid, the Eiffel Tower, Easter Island, Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer, the Taj Mahal and Jordan's Petra.

The Great Pyramids of Giza is the only surviving structures from the original seven wonders of the ancient world and it's already assured to be part of the new 7 wonders. The new 7 wonders of the world will be announced on July 7 in Lisbon, Potugal.

For more information about the contest, you can read the full story here.
