A new LO

Hi everyone! I'm just done establishing the new LO of my blog. It's the greener pastures from Free Blogger Skins. Though I like the old LO, but I've been thinking of changing it into another 3-column LO. I hope you like this LO too. But forgive me about the header,:) I just did it this afternoon. I know it's not that nice at all, but it will do for now. I'm going to make another header later.

The thought of changing the LO for this blog has been bugging me lately and I won't be at peace if I can't do what's in my mind, so I ended up changing the LO this afternoon. I rushed it to give contentment to myself, hehehe. And the color code is green. I love it, but it doesn't mean that I'm green, hehehe.:)

Happy Monday everyone!

She's planning to visit Paris

I'm talking about my bestfriend, Bhing. We've been bestfriends since our elementary years and she also worked as an au pair in Denmark. We are inseparable as they say, hehehe. And now we are both in Norway and having fun. But she's the tamed and "mahinhin" one and yours truly is the "pasaway",hehehe. We call each other "best".

Anyways, best is planning to visit Paris this summer and I'm sad coz I can't be with her this time coz I decided not to travel since I'll be leaving Norway soon and I have to save some money,:) One of our good friends (Ella) will go with her and she really need to go there coz she has not been out of the country since our Denmark times. She was struggling with her finances then being a good daughter. I told you I'm the "pasaway" one, so I don't send money to my Mama regularly,:( and spend it in travelling instead,:( She had been out of Denmark once, when we went to Helsingborg, Sweden for a day last Christmas 2005. So I'm really encouraging her to go to Paris, so she can atleast travel while she's still in Norway.

I accompanied her to her "kuskos" last Saturday and we talked about her travel plans. Ella has already started looking for travel deals to Paris and I told best that they better hurry, so they can get a good and cheap offer. They're eyeing for a plane and hotel promo right now, but Ella will keep on looking for other good offers. She's in-charge with the bookings since best has no constant access to the internet.

I'm really hoping for them to have a good time in Paris, especially Best.

Termini: last stop of the day

This post is a continuation of my Rome adventure last summer 2006. After enjoying Piazza Navona with Ate Cath and Arlene and a lot of picture taking,:), we heeded to the last stop of the day, Termini, which is one of the railway stations in Rome where a lot of Filipinos go there and meet (we got the info from a Filipino we met in Rome). There were indeed a lot of Filipinos there and there were Pinoys selling Filipino foods and we bought some. There was also a flea market there and we also bought some souvenir. I bought a white skirt for 5 euro. It was indeed very cheap,:) I wore the skirt in our next visit to Vatican City that will be coming up on my next post.

Anyways, here are some pictures taken from the railway station:

We also talked to some Filipinos there. And after touring Termini, we went back to the camping site for a rest for the following day's adventure.

Here's more info about Termini from Wikipedia:

Roma Termini (in Italian, Stazione Termini or Stazione di Roma Termini) is the main train station of Rome. It is named after the ancient Baths of Diocletian (in Latin, thermae), which lie across the street from the main entrance.

The station has regular train services to all major Italian cities as well as daily international services to Paris, Munich and Basel. With its 29 platforms and over 150 million passengers each year[1], Roma Termini is one of the largest train stations in Europe.

Termini is also the main hub for public transport inside Rome. Both current Rome Metro lines (A and B) intersect at Termini, and a major bus station is located at Piazza Cinquecento, the square in front of the station. However, the main tram lines of the city cross at Porta Maggiore, some 500 metres east of the station.

On 23 December 2006, the station was dedicated to Pope John Paul II[2], more or less like Rome's main airport at Fiumicino is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci[3].

More lights please

I suddenly remember that I need more lights here in my apartment as I saw all the Murray Feiss lights featured at lightingshowplace.com. My apartment is not really abundant with lights and my friends are also complaining about it. I have a lampshade with 3 bulbs in the living room, aside from the normal light attached to the ceiling. And In the bedroom, I also have a lampshade with 1 bulb and the normal lights attached to the ceiling.

But about a month ago, the 3-bulb lampshades gave in as 2 of the bulbs ran out of order. And since then, I've been suffering from lack of lightings and my eyes started aching once again. :( And I always forget to tell my employer about it, so I've been suffering until now and I don't think I can go on with it for long. I have to tell my employer tomorrow, so he can buy new bulbs for me. And just a week ago, the lampshade in the bedroom stops working, so I brought the 3-bulb lampshade in the bedroom, leaving the living room more dimmer.:(

I love Juno!

I'm referring to the movie Juno, I just love the story and the casts really did a good job,:)This is the movie I watched the Monday after my comedy movie marathon.

And I really love Ellen Page's acting in Juno and I love her character (Juno MacDuff)there. Michael Cera plays as Paulie Bleeker (Juno's bf) and the father of her baby. This time, he played as an innocent and weird teen compared to his naughty role in Superbad. I find the story funny, not the "preggy" situation though. But the story is really a reality coz there are already a lot of teens nowadays who are getting preggy due to negligence and unsafe sex. I suddenly remember all the teens in my village who got pregnant at an early age (before their debut) as I watched the movie. I just can't imagine if I had the same fate as Juno during my teen days, thanks God for keeping me away from the temptation. And I really like the plot coz it's not the usual story of teens having unplanned pregnancy. Though being preggy early is becoming usual nowadays, but giving away the baby through adaption is not really common. It's an unusual decision.

I adore Juno for taking the situation lightly and coolly. If I were in her shoes, I would be very scared of what people might say and scared for my parents' reaction, especially my strict and over protective Papa. Though my heart was aching as Juno decides to give away her baby through adaption, but I'm also happy at the same time coz she chooses to make Vanessa Loring (Jennifer Garner) very happy as her dream of adapting a baby came true. I'm not even sure if I can do the same thing if I were in Juno's place. I find Juno selfless and it made me think about my "selfish" attitude,:(

I would really recommend this movie to you. You can also read more about Juno here. Here's the official trailer of the movie from YouTube:

Unexpected snow

We (my friends and I) were so shocked about the snowing that started last Thursday until today. We thought that winter is finally over since it was already sunny for almost 2 weeks. All of us were really freezing and complaining as we went out to attend the Church activities coz we didn't bring warm clothes and we're not even wearing our winter boots. So we end up borrowing boots from my bestfriend (good thing and she was plenty) and one of my cousins even used the safety toe boots of her female employer. I just wish that summer will be here very soon.

Here's a photo taken by yours truly while we were trapped inside best's place last Thursday:

A new closet

Ate Bren bought a new closet last week for the master's bedroom and it was really a nice choice. The style is great, as well as the color. She also bought a drawer and 2 bedside tables and some plastic containers for clothes coz she really needs a lot of spaces for their clothes coz Ate shops a lot,:) We always tease her as having her own boutique.:) She also bought Schlage doorknobs for the veranda door coz the current doorknobs are almost destroyed.

I'm done cleaning my host family's place and I'm ready to go for my long weekend to my best's place. They're already waiting for me there. But before going, I still have to make some cleaning here in my apartment. Meanwhile, I'm also waiting for my baby to be online coz we'll be chatting today, ayyy kilig ko.hehehe.

And sorry friends coz I won't be able to blog in here and in my other blogs after leaving my apartment. I'm going to have a short hiatus from the blogging world to concentrate on my spiritual nourishment this Holy Week.

Remembering the Comedy movie marathon

I share to you before about the comedy movie marathon I had here in my apartment about 2 weeks ago and I also promised to share to you the movies in details. So, here I am, ready to share it to you,:)

I watched 3 comedy movies during that time, from about 10pm to 3am,:) I did asked Google as to decide which movies to watched by typing "best 2007 comedy movies" and several lists were given. However, some of the movies were not in the movie site.

Here are movies I watched that really made me laugh ans smile alone,:)

.....was the first movie I watched. It was a story of senior high bestfriends, Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill). And the feeling teener that I am, I did enjoy watching the movie and a part of me relived my high school memories while watching the movie. How I wish, I did something naughty or bad in my high school days, just like what Evan and Seth did and watching the movie could be more fun, hehehe. I didn't know the Michael Cera ans Jonah Hill before, but after watching, I did Google them and can't forget Jonah Hill anymore coz he's soo cute and I like his acting in Superbad. The teener in me is having a crush on the chubby and bubbly, Jonah Hill, hehehe. Read more about Superbad at Wikipedia.

.....was the 2nd movie and I really enjoyed it a lot. Of the 3 movies that I watched, this was the one that made me laugh real hard, hehehe. I made a lot of laughing in this tandem of Will Ferrell (Chazz Michael Michaels) and Jon Heder (Jimmy MacElroy), than the 2 movies. I enjoyed Will Ferrell's sarcasm very much, but it doesn't mean that I'm sarcastic too, hehehe. But I can be at times,:( I've seen Ferrell before in some movies, but I didn't know that Will Ferrell was his name. When I watch movies, I don't care much about the names of the actors and actresses really. But after seeing Blades of Glory, the name Will Ferrell has been glued to my memory already, hehehe. And I enjoyed Ferrell and Heder's fights too and also the skating scenes. Sooo impressive! Read more about Blades of Glory at Wikipedia.

The last movie of the comedy marathon. Seth Rogen (Ben Stone) captured my heart in this one-night stand comedy that resulted to a pregnancy. Ohhh so scary! Seth Rogen is also one of the writers of Superbad. It was also my first time to know Rogen and I won't forget him anymore coz nakilig ang lola sa acting ni Rogen, hehehe. Ambot oii cge naman lng ko kakilig,:)Read more about Knocked Up.

All in all, I had fun watching the 3 movies and I would highly recommend it to you if you want a good laugh too,:)

Thanks God, she's already in Denmark

I am talking about my first cousin,Jeli, who just arrived in Denmark 2 days ago. Thanks God for her safe travel. She's the younger sister Florean, one who replaced me in my hostfamily in Denmark. Jeli will also be working as an au pair there, just like the rest of us,:) and her hostfamily is living in the country side, near the hostfamily of my brother. And that's good, so they can visit each other often.

Jeli's trip to Denmark was not the easy one and we were really worried about her. Her hostfamily bought the ticket through the internet (since it's a lot cheaper than buying the ticket in Pinas) and just sent the e-ticket through e-mail. The flight booked for her was not a connecting flight. She has to make 2 stop overs, in Hongkong and London, which was also the case of my brother. But her flight was a little bit complicated, if not very complicated for a teener and first-timer like her,:) coz the plane to London landed at Gatwick airport, but her hostfamily booked the flight from London to Billund from Stansted airport. So it means that upon Jeli's arrival in Gatwick, she has to take the bus to Stansted for more than 2 hours. Her hostfamily gave her the instructions and I also told her about it. Thanks God and she sent us SMS informing us that she's already taking the bus to Stansted.

She's supposed to arrive in DK at around 3pm on Saturday, but I havn't heard from her anymore and also her family back home. So, were already worried about her. Then her sister Florean sent me an SMS saying that Jeli sent her an SMS that she's still in London coz she missed her flight. Ohh ohh. And Florean thought that she was just kidding. But the message was confirmed true as Jeli's hostfamily called Florean and told her the situation. Nahhh, nabijaan jud ang baje sa plane. The hostfamily said that Jeli missed the plane coz she waited in the wrong gate number, nahhh!!So I was a little bit irritated coz I already instructed her to ask if she's not sure about things. So the hostfamily booked her a new ticket the following day. Jeli called them many times in London to inform them about the situation and glad coz the people at the information counter had been helping her a lot. Really doing there job.

And finally, Jeli arrived in DK on Sunday. Thanks God and everything went well. She already started working and glad coz her hostfamily is really nice to her. And we chatted lastnight and I interviewed her about the what really happened in London. Indeed, she waited at the wrong gate number coz the lady issued her a gate number at gate 47, but the right gate number for her plane was at gate 43 and she was informed about it few minutes before the scheduled time of departure. But whatever happens in there, the most important thing is she's already in DK, safe and sound.

Tomorrow, my brother and Florean will visit her in her place and have a small get-together. It will be fun for sure and too bad for me coz I can't join the fun, huhuhu.

ID lamination business

My mother wants to start an ID lamination business in our place and she wants my brother and me to provide for the capital,:) Though the business seems nice since there's no such business yet in our place and there's also an elementary and high schools in our place, so it will really be nice.

My brother is hesitant about it though coz he's worried if mother can't manage it well alone, especially if his wife will also work in DK soon. I told my mother about it, but she's really insisting that we better start now, before someone can think of the idea. So I told her to really know the needed materials for the business, so we can prepare the capital. After all, it's not easy to look for money,:) and I also told her to make a research on where we can buy the needed equipments for the business in a directbuy way, as to avoid the huge mark-ups if we'll buy the equipments from retailer stores. Mother is making her assignments and I just hope that this project will push through coz mother is really excited about it and I don't want her to be disappointed.

Thank you Google

I just want to thank Google for giving me a pleasant surprise 2 days ago,:) I'm really happy to share to you that my blog, Julai's Corner, is now having a PR2 once again,:) It was originally PR4 before and after 2 weeks, it went down to PR2 and then to tragic PR0.

This blog (has a PR3 before) too and all my other blogs turned to PR0. But I'm so thankful that Google has granted my request of giving my PR back. And I'm hoping that I can also gain back the PR of my other blogs in Google's due time. I'll be patient and hope that they'll grant my 2nd request too.:)

I just hope that my current Page Rank for Julai's Corner will be stable and hoping that it won't go back to 0 once again.

Bee Movie

Bee Movie info:

Directors: Steve Hickner and Simon J. Smith
Writters: Jerry Seinfeld, Spike Feresten, Barry Marder and Andy Robin

This was the cartoons movie I watched before Ratatouille and I also had a good time watching it. Just like any other cartoon movies I watched before, I love the moral lessons that it conveyed. That no matter how small or ordinary we are (just like in the case of Barry), we can still do and contribute something for the good of mankind. And there were always be bad people around us, no matter how kind we are. And yet, there are also true friends, nice people, who are always willing to help (in the case of Vanessa, the human florist.

The Bee movie really entertained me all through out the entire duration. And I had fun watching the court hearing as Barry sues human for eating and stealing their honey, hehehe. That was really cute. And I was amazed with all the flying that the huge bees did (I forgot their names), but flying scenes were beautifully made.

I love the movie and from now on, I have to bee me!:)

The need to exercise

Happy Saturday everyone! I am just here in my apartment, spending the weekend in solitude. But this time, I felt bored, alone and lonely. Not like before that I enjoyed the solitude. I'm missing my friends and their laughter and chika2x. I long for my family and friends' company. It's not really good to be alone all the time, plus I am in a fighting mode with the bf, so it worsens the feeling,:(

My butt is already aching due to long hours of sitting. I need to exercise, but I'm just too lazy for it. I havn't exercise for I think 2 months already. The dancing and walking were stopped due to my "net/blogging addiction",grrrrrrrrrrr. I really need to do something coz I know that my body needs exercise. If I can only hear my body speak, it's probably shouting right now, shouting for me to move my butt and do some serious exercise.

How I wish I have a treadmill here in my apartment, so I can exercise anytime I want to. I need help from an exercising machine to really push me to move and I think treadmill is the best. Been wishing of exercising with a treadmill ever since, but I'm not sure if it's gonna happen coz treadmill is expensive and I know I can't afford it these days. Maybe in the future, but definitely not now. So I have to do exercises in the traditional way and I need to move fast. I need motivation! Help!

The most luxurious train in the world

photo grabbed from Yahoo News).

The media reported on Sunday, March 9, that China will launch "the most luxurious train in the world" from Beijing to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. And it will start to operate on September 1. However, the train ride would be about 20 times more expensive than the ordinary fare.

According the general manager of Qinghai_Tibet Railwat Corporation, Zhu Mingrui, thZhu Mingrui, the interior of the train will be decorated according to the standards of a five-star hotel, making it the most luxurious train in the world.

The future most luxurious train of the world can only seat 96 passengers. There will be three trains from Beijing to Lhasa every 8 days. And the luxury journey takes 5 days. Each train will have 12 passenger cars, two dining cars and a sightseeing car. Each passenger car will have four ten-square-meter suites featuring a double bed, a living room and bathing facilities.

The Chinese authorities consider the 1,142-kilometre (710-mile) railway as an important tool in modernizing and developing Tibet, which has been part of China since its troops occupied the region in 1950.

However, critics say that the line is allowing the Han Chinese, the national majority, to flood into Tibet, leading to the devastation of the local culture as well accelerating environmental degradation of the region., says the report.

Heaven forbids, but if one will be involved in a truck accident in the US, it's good to know that those involved can be represented by a truck accident lawyer to lessen the hassle. If you want to know more about this, just visit http://www.truckinjuries.com.

Comedy Movie marathon

Yes,I had another movie marathon in the weekend and I really had a great time and as usual, been laughing here in my apartment alone, hehehe. But the movie marathon last weekend was different coz all movies watched were comedy. I tried watching 10,000BC since Dong Albert recommended it to me, but I stopped the video after 4 minutes coz I'm not in the mood to watch serious movies that time. My mood was craving for a hilarious movie, so I googled the best comedy movies of 2007 and started looking if they were available in the site where I usually watch movies for free.

And the bottom line, I had a lot of fun that until now the funny scenes are still playing on my mind,:) And the movies I watched were SuperBad, Blades of Glory, Knocked Up and just this afternoon, I also watched Juno.

I'll be talking about the films individually on my next posts.

The controversial flight

I'm talking about the US-London flight manned by American Airlines last February 8. I've read about it 2 days ago and was also shocked about the news. American airlines flew 5 passengers in business class with two crew members per passenger. AA's reason for pursuing the controversial flight was due to the full load of passengers waiting at London's Heathrow airport to return to the United States.

Though AA is doing there part in giving good service to the their passengers, but envrinonmental groups such as Friends of the Earth is not really impressed with AA's decision. In fact, they accused AA of being of unnecessary waste for spending about 68,000 liters or 13,000 liters per passenger. According to the news, each passenger left a footprint of 35.77 tons of carbon dioxide, enough to drive an average car 160,000 kilometers (100,000 miles).

And according to Richard Dyer, Friends of the Earth's transport campaigner,"Flying virtually empty planes is an obscene waste of fuel. Through no fault of their own, each passenger's carbon footprint for this flight is about 45 times what it would have been if the plane had been full."

How about you?If you were in AA's shoes, what would you do? Save the passengers or save Mother Earth? Tough decision, huh?? But the bottom line? There were always be consequences in every decision made.

After this post, I'm gonna check an online auto insurance site coz I'm helping Ate Bren find a good auto insurance company coz they'll be buying a new car very soon.

Ratatouille

(Ra-ta-tui), is the 2nd movie I watched during my movie marathon last weekend, but let me share it to you first coz I really enjoyed the movie and I was just smiling the whole time. Yes, smiling alone in my apartment and laughing occassionally, hehehe.

I really love the movie. Though it was presented in a funny way, but there were a lot of lessons that go with it. I can never forget the ambitious Remy and the fragile, yet survivor Linguini. The movie reminds me once again that anyone can succeed by just working hard and never giving up on our dreams. And this is true to the case of Remy, who dreamed of becoming a chef and he never ceased pursuing his dream, until he realized it through Linguini. But, no matter how we try to be kind to others, there are always bad people. People who'll try to pull us down, but we just have to hold on and continue in reaching for our dreams.

There are still a lot of lessons in the movie, but I can't enumerate them all. As I've told you before,I'm not a good story teller, let alone re-tell a story to an audience,:)I can only vividly recall it in my mind, but can't hardly put it into words. So you better see it for yourself.

And one of the scenes I can't forget and made me laugh was the scene where Remy put all the rats into the huge dishwasher machine as part of following the standard procedure of cooking, "Wash your hands first",hehehe. That was really cute!

If you are an Ass : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble, and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Slug : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what make s you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek your company and look forward to include you for all get-together. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Cockroach : Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactful! y derive work from people. You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

If you are a Parasite : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

If you are a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart! . The examples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give, and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.

If you are a Bullfrog : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of fri ends! and go od at consoling pe ople in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love....

If you are a Snake : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the w! ay you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are an Ape : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

The box is here

I'm talking about the balikbayan box that I'm going to send to my family this coming October, so they'll receive it during the Yuletide season. The box was delivered this morning and it's huge. Huge enough to accomodate goodies for my entire family back home, my big family,:)For sure, I'll need much moolah to buy things for the box,:) And it's better to start buying things now, so I won't feel the pocket drain, hehehe. But I don't really care how much I'm going to spend for the box, as long as my family will be happy. Anyways, I don't send box often, so spending a little more for it is just fine.

I already bought some things before. And to make sure that I have something for everyone, I made a list of names of the people that are going to receive something from me. And after buying something for that person, I crashed out the name. But there are still a lot of names on my list, so I have to double time, hehehe. I need to pack to box by the end of August. I'm also thinking of buying some things online, that is, if there are good offers. I'll also start looking for plus size clothing for my chubby paternal Lola and my Auntie (Papa's sis whom I call Mama) coz they love clothes. During my vacation last year, I bought some clothes for them and glad coz they liked it soo much. I'll also buy some other things for them aside from clothes.

til here. Got to doze off now. I still have to work at 7am tomorrow and it's general cleaning day, so I'll be busy. Nytnyt everyone!

Piazza Navona

After enjoying the grandeur of The Pantheon, we went to Piazza Navona to relax and unwind. There were fountains in the Piazza, if I'm not wrong, there were 3 fountains in all. There were a lot people there and there were also resto and bars on the sides. A lot of people were eating outside and enjoying the heat of the Roman sun, hehehe.

However, I don't have good pictures of the Piazza coz it didn't came to my mind before to really take good pictures of the places I've visited.:( The idea of taking good pictures just came lately, when I already felt the urged to have an SLR camera coz of the inspirations I got from other photographers who are really taking good pictures.

Anyway, I'm already blabbering, forgive me. Here are the photos taken from Piazza Navona:

Scuptures in one of the fountains in the Piazza.

On the background is one of the fountains.

With Arlene.Ohh my, I soo loathe my bulging tummy!grrrrrrrr!

Too bad, I only have 4 pics taken in Piazza Navona, the other one is almost the same with the first one, so I didn't post it anymore. I don't even have a photo of the entire fountain. I was not able to capture the beauty of the Piazza. I think I have to go to Rome one again and make sure to capture all the beautiful and historic scenes there.

Now I can say that I'm really a bad photographer.:(

Movie Marathon

I'm still here in my apartment, enjoying the solitude.:) I worked for 6 hours in my extra yesterday and felt tired to go out afterwards, so I decided to stay and go out later in the afternoon.

Been having a movie marathon here,:) Thanks to all the sites where I can see free movies as much as I can. Ahhh technology! Been hooked here in bed with lappy since yesterday evening. I watched Bee Movie lastnight and Ratatouille. But I dozed off in the middle of the movie coz the player was loading so slow. So I continued watching Ratatouille this morning. I really had fun watching the cartoon movies. And the moral lessons from the movies are great.

And right now, I'm watching "The Girl Next Door". It's a little bit boring, but let's see. Been expecting some horror scenes coz the review says that it's a horror movie, but I don't think so. Not yet. I just hope that I have a huge tv wall mount here in my apartment to enjoy watching the movies even more. As if I'm in a theater, sitting comfortable and looking into a wide screen. Ahhh, daydreaming!:)

The Pantheon

After enjoying the different wooden crafts at Bartolucci toy store, we heeded for the famous "The Pantheon". And upon seeing the ancient building, I suddenly remember the Boysen paint advertisement in Pinas when I was still in my high school days, wherein the huge ang monstrous pillars of The Pantheon were featured.:)

According to Wikipedia, the word pantheon originates from a Latin word which means "Temple of all the gods" and the Pantheon was indeed originally built as a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome. Just click the link for more readings about The Pantheon.

And here are my photos:

The altar inside The Pantheon.

The oculus of The Pantheon. The only opening that admits light for the dome.

The Oculus in the Pantheon has always been open to the weather, allowing rain to enter and fall to the floor, whence it is carried away through drains.

Taking pic while resting with Ate Cath in one of the HUGE pillars of the Pantheon.
