We will be driving to Poland with their new car and we'll be exploring the place for 5 days. It will surely be fun with Ate Bren and her family (hubby and their daughter, Anny Helen) and best too. I'm really so excited for the trip!

Sex and the City : the movie
Labels: movies, sarah jessica parker, sex and the city movies
I watched the movie about 2 weeks ago at moviesisters.com and I had so much fun watching it,:) The film is really very entertaining with their friendship and lovelife,:)I just kept on smiling, especially with Samantha's relationship with guys.:) So funny! But I so hate Mr. Big, when he didn't show up at the wedding. He was scared and I just hope that no man will end up like him,:) But glad that in the end, they still end up together. Actually, Carrie has a point too : that the wedding (especially the Vogue story) was just all about her and she never mentioned about Big. So atleast, she also learned something from it. But anyhow, their friendship is really so solid and I just hope that me and my 2 bestfriends will be like them. Strong and still intact despite all the trials and difficulties.
And I just can't forget Charlotte's innocence in dealing with things, hehehe. And there's the very logical Miranda, who end up thinking at all times, instead of feeling,:) The movie was actually so timely as the lovelife turns stormy. I did a lot of feeling in the past and yet I failed, so I think this time, I'll do a lot of thinking just like what Miranda did and let's see what happens,:)
And I so love all dresses that Sarah Jessica Parker wore in the movie. They're all elegant and also the costumes of the 3 women.
Here's a trailer from YouTube:
Longgg weekend....
I'm so glad coz I already so relax now since my host family already drove to Spain last Saturday. It means, I don't have to wake up early, hehehe. And they said that I'm off for the entire month of July even if they're already home. I just have to clean the house a little bit before they'll come back on the 9th and water the flowers. And I'm so glad coz my dearest host family have me a summer bonus, a grand higher than the one they gave me last summer, yohooo! And I'm so flattered coz they said that they're so happy and satisfied with my service. Thanks God for the financial blessing. God is really good all the times,:) I can't complain,:)

Babysitting!
Anyways, it's still so light here at 10:12pm and it's windy outside...been windy since Monday. It also rained yesterday and the glass window has already stains on it from the rain. Too bad coz I already cleaned it last week. So it means that I'm going to have another cleaning coz it looks gross, huhuhuh. And the patio furniture looks dirty too, so I'm going to clean it this Monday. But the windows has to wait until I'll have enough energy to clean it,hehehe.
Kill Bill 1 and 2
Labels: Kill Bill 1 and 2, Quentin Tarantino, Uma Thurman
I was also sleepy and there were times that I almost fall asleep, but then the action of the movie kept me awake. Lisa also complained about the brutality of the film, but still the movie was great. Uma Thurman did a great job and of course, Quentin Tarantino is superb.
After watching Kill Bill 1, Lisa and I decided to watch volume 2 coz we were pretty impressed by the stunts and we want to know what happens next, hehehe. And so Kill Bill 2 was played despite being tired.
After the watching the movies, I was trying to decide which volume is the best, but I was not able to make a decision coz I think that both volumes are really great..best. Though the moral lesson of the movies is not that great coz it conveyed the messages of going for revenge against the people who wronged you, but still the movies were very entertaining and full of action. I'll really recommend you to watch the movies, especially if you love action movies, but just don't go for revenge coz it's not good at all. I'll still go for forgiveness for all those who wronged me, in the hope that they'll also forgive the wrong doings I've done to them,:)
Peace!

SFC Congress
Since Norway is very expensive, our elders have decided to offer free accommodation to the first 100 delegates, so this way, SFCs from other countries will be motivated to register right away. And I should say that the strategy works coz there are already 40 delegates who registered from outside Norway. They were indeed very happy about the free accommodation offers coz they don't have to look for cheap hotel deals anymore.
The congress will surely be fun and I'll keep you posted about it. I hope and pray for its success. May God be praised at all times!
The pursuit of Happyness
Labels: movies, the pursuit of happyness, will smith
It was really indeed a very nice movie and it's based on a true story. The story was very inspiring and touching. Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is really an inspiration as he keeps on going and fighting the misfortunes that he encounters with his family without complaining about the situation. His wife left him as the financial problem worsened and took their child with her. But Chris pleaded that their son should be with him and the wife agrees.
It was really tear-jerking seeing the father and son struggling in their day to day life. And I learned a lot of lessons from the movie. 1). To never complain about the problems that come our way, instead, work hard to solve the problem. 2). Continue to be happy in every situation that you are in. 3). Strive hard to achieve your dreams. If you want to achieve something, do whatever it takes to achieve it and never stop striving until you reach it. 4). and most importantly, call God for guidance and help.
Here's a synopsis of the movie from Wikipedia:
The film begins in 1981 in San Francisco, California. Linda and Chris Gardner live in a small apartment with their son, Christopher. Chris has invested the family's life savings in a franchise selling portable bone density scanners. These scanners provide slightly denser pictures than X-rays, but most of the doctors Chris visits find that they are too high-priced. Linda works in a dead-end job in a local hotel laundry. The tension between them mounts as unpaid rent and bills continue to accumulate. Chris often parks his car in disallowed areas so he can make scheduled appointments on time, and after parking tickets remain unpaid, their car is impounded. After missing a shift at her job, Linda finally leaves without their son Christopher, returns briefly, then departs for New York City, where a better job awaits her, leaving behind the boy at his father's request.
Chris accepts an unpaid internship at a brokerage firm Dean Witter Reynolds that promises employment to only one trainee at its conclusion. His lack of salary, and his lack of scanners to try and sell, leaves him riddled with debt, he and his son eventually become homeless. After spending several nights riding buses and sleeping in subway restrooms, saddled with their meager belongings, they begin lining up at the Glide Memorial Church on a daily basis in an effort to secure accommodations for the night. Sometimes they succeed, other times they literally are left out in the cold. As he struggles to provide a semblance of a family life for his son under the most dire of circumstances, Chris becomes more determined to complete the intern program and become the sole trainee the firm will hire.
In the end, Chris gets the job and later starts his own brokerage firm in 1987. Then in 2006 he sells a minority of it for a multi-million dollar deal.
After watching the movie, I was ashamed of myself coz I realized how stupid I am for always complaining about almost anything when Chris never complains even if his situation is already very confusing and very difficult. I made a promise to do my best to never complain anymore, instead, be thankful to God for all the graces and just strive hard.
