Trip to Poland...

Yohooo! I'm so glad coz the trip to Poland courtesy of Ate Bren is pushing through this July 13-19. Ate Bren told us before (Best and me) that they're going to take both of us to one of their trips abroad as a birthday gift for us for our birthdays last year. We were really so excited about it and Ate Bren just confirmed the trip last week. Yeheyyy!!

We will be driving to Poland with their new car and we'll be exploring the place for 5 days. It will surely be fun with Ate Bren and her family (hubby and their daughter, Anny Helen) and best too. I'm really so excited for the trip!

Sex and the City : the movie

I watched the movie about 2 weeks ago at moviesisters.com and I had so much fun watching it,:) The film is really very entertaining with their friendship and lovelife,:)

I just kept on smiling, especially with Samantha's relationship with guys.:) So funny! But I so hate Mr. Big, when he didn't show up at the wedding. He was scared and I just hope that no man will end up like him,:) But glad that in the end, they still end up together. Actually, Carrie has a point too : that the wedding (especially the Vogue story) was just all about her and she never mentioned about Big. So atleast, she also learned something from it. But anyhow, their friendship is really so solid and I just hope that me and my 2 bestfriends will be like them. Strong and still intact despite all the trials and difficulties.

And I just can't forget Charlotte's innocence in dealing with things, hehehe. And there's the very logical Miranda, who end up thinking at all times, instead of feeling,:) The movie was actually so timely as the lovelife turns stormy. I did a lot of feeling in the past and yet I failed, so I think this time, I'll do a lot of thinking just like what Miranda did and let's see what happens,:)

And I so love all dresses that Sarah Jessica Parker wore in the movie. They're all elegant and also the costumes of the 3 women.

Here's a trailer from YouTube:

Babysitting!

I'm here in my employer's place looking after the children coz they went to the new opera house. And as usual, I got so upset with the younger child due to her hard-headedness. It was already almost 10pm and her sister was already asleep, but she wasn't and kept on going down the stairs and won't just listen to me. So what i did? I locked her room and took the key, she went hysterical about it and kept crying. Good for her, so she'll get tired and fall into sleep, hehehe. Now, the crying has stopped, so I suppose that she's already asleep. I'll check in a little while.

Anyways, it's still so light here at 10:12pm and it's windy outside...been windy since Monday. It also rained yesterday and the glass window has already stains on it from the rain. Too bad coz I already cleaned it last week. So it means that I'm going to have another cleaning coz it looks gross, huhuhuh. And the patio furniture looks dirty too, so I'm going to clean it this Monday. But the windows has to wait until I'll have enough energy to clean it,hehehe.

Kill Bill 1 and 2

Kill Bill volume 1 and 2 were the films I watched last weekend with my friends. Awww actually, it was only me and my cousin, Lisa, who survived watching, hehehe. We watched it last Saturday (June 7) after our tiring escapade to Sandvika Storcenter (one of the big malls here in Norway). We were all tired, but after dinner, I still played Kill Bill 1 and Lisa also liked the film. Ate Eves and Tonet were sleeping like logs, hehehe.

I was also sleepy and there were times that I almost fall asleep, but then the action of the movie kept me awake. Lisa also complained about the brutality of the film, but still the movie was great. Uma Thurman did a great job and of course, Quentin Tarantino is superb.

After watching Kill Bill 1, Lisa and I decided to watch volume 2 coz we were pretty impressed by the stunts and we want to know what happens next, hehehe. And so Kill Bill 2 was played despite being tired.

After the watching the movies, I was trying to decide which volume is the best, but I was not able to make a decision coz I think that both volumes are really great..best. Though the moral lesson of the movies is not that great coz it conveyed the messages of going for revenge against the people who wronged you, but still the movies were very entertaining and full of action. I'll really recommend you to watch the movies, especially if you love action movies, but just don't go for revenge coz it's not good at all. I'll still go for forgiveness for all those who wronged me, in the hope that they'll also forgive the wrong doings I've done to them,:)

Peace!

hurt and sad!

I'm back from the weekend early coz the afternoon went sour as I came into a disagreement with one of my friends,:( She misunderstood what I said, so I decided to come back here early than stay longer there and feel the tension.:( I'm so disappointed right now and I'm shaking and feeling as if a bomb is about to explode in my heart. I really need to cool down and have a break!

Anyways, it's so silent here in my apartment and I just hope that I have wind chimes in here to make a little bit of noise and to somewhat entertain me in times of boring and lonely moments like this one,:(

No, I didn't purchase a thing through installment basis,:) I'm talking about the movie I've been watching in an installment basis, hehehe. I tried the new movie site I found and decided to watch "What Happens in Vegas" with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher coz I saw an advertisement in the net a week ago and got curious. I started watching the movie last night and watched part 1 and 2, but I was already so sleepy, so I decided to stop watching. And now, I'm in the process of watching part 3 and hopefully part 4. If my eyes can't take it anymore, then part 4 has to wait until tomorrow,:)

I'll write a separate post about the movie after watching the entire film,:)

A new movie link!

Hi everyone! I just wanna share to you a new movie link that I found out last Friday. I found the link accidentally as I was Googling for the movie "Sisters". I found the link and I'm so happy about it coz it's another site where I can watch movies for free and the site has a lot of movies to watch, including old ones. I watched movies at the site I found a while ago, but the movies available are only 2007 and 2008 movies, but I can watch the movies instantly. However, in the new site, I still have to download the Zango software before I was able to start watching. But it was ok coz the downloading only took few minutes. The new site is www.moviesister.com and I hope you'll enjoy it too. There's a lot of movies out there, even new movies that are not yet out in theaters.

SFC Congress

SFC Norway will be hosting the Singles for Christ Congress this coming July 4-6 and all SFC Norway are already very excited about it,:) And for sure, we will be very busy for the preparation of the congress coz we have to make sure that everyone who will be attending the congress will be accommodated very well. And it's always normal that the host country will be doing a lot of preparation.

Since Norway is very expensive, our elders have decided to offer free accommodation to the first 100 delegates, so this way, SFCs from other countries will be motivated to register right away. And I should say that the strategy works coz there are already 40 delegates who registered from outside Norway. They were indeed very happy about the free accommodation offers coz they don't have to look for cheap hotel deals anymore.

The congress will surely be fun and I'll keep you posted about it. I hope and pray for its success. May God be praised at all times!

The pursuit of Happyness

This was the movie I watched last Saturday at Nanay D. and Tatay T.'s place. The thriller of the movie was featured in one of the films I watched at Ate Eve's place 2 weekends ago. I find the story nice and remembered that Nanay and Tatay have the DVD, so I decided to watched it and the rest of my sisters also watched, though some of them have already seen the movie before.

It was really indeed a very nice movie and it's based on a true story. The story was very inspiring and touching. Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is really an inspiration as he keeps on going and fighting the misfortunes that he encounters with his family without complaining about the situation. His wife left him as the financial problem worsened and took their child with her. But Chris pleaded that their son should be with him and the wife agrees.

It was really tear-jerking seeing the father and son struggling in their day to day life. And I learned a lot of lessons from the movie. 1). To never complain about the problems that come our way, instead, work hard to solve the problem. 2). Continue to be happy in every situation that you are in. 3). Strive hard to achieve your dreams. If you want to achieve something, do whatever it takes to achieve it and never stop striving until you reach it. 4). and most importantly, call God for guidance and help.

Here's a synopsis of the movie from Wikipedia:

The film begins in 1981 in San Francisco, California. Linda and Chris Gardner live in a small apartment with their son, Christopher. Chris has invested the family's life savings in a franchise selling portable bone density scanners. These scanners provide slightly denser pictures than X-rays, but most of the doctors Chris visits find that they are too high-priced. Linda works in a dead-end job in a local hotel laundry. The tension between them mounts as unpaid rent and bills continue to accumulate. Chris often parks his car in disallowed areas so he can make scheduled appointments on time, and after parking tickets remain unpaid, their car is impounded. After missing a shift at her job, Linda finally leaves without their son Christopher, returns briefly, then departs for New York City, where a better job awaits her, leaving behind the boy at his father's request.

Chris accepts an unpaid internship at a brokerage firm Dean Witter Reynolds that promises employment to only one trainee at its conclusion. His lack of salary, and his lack of scanners to try and sell, leaves him riddled with debt, he and his son eventually become homeless. After spending several nights riding buses and sleeping in subway restrooms, saddled with their meager belongings, they begin lining up at the Glide Memorial Church on a daily basis in an effort to secure accommodations for the night. Sometimes they succeed, other times they literally are left out in the cold. As he struggles to provide a semblance of a family life for his son under the most dire of circumstances, Chris becomes more determined to complete the intern program and become the sole trainee the firm will hire.

In the end, Chris gets the job and later starts his own brokerage firm in 1987. Then in 2006 he sells a minority of it for a multi-million dollar deal.

After watching the movie, I was ashamed of myself coz I realized how stupid I am for always complaining about almost anything when Chris never complains even if his situation is already very confusing and very difficult. I made a promise to do my best to never complain anymore, instead, be thankful to God for all the graces and just strive hard.
