pimple problem!

Me and most of my friends are experiencing pimple problem this summer vacation,:( We've been having huge pimples in our faces and lack of sleep and eating oily foods are surely some of the reasons. We've been sleeping so late and in my case, I've been sleeping at 4am most of the time and I've been pigging out too : as in eating fatty foods and a lot of sweets (ice cream and chocolates),:( One of my dearest friends has been so worried coz her pimples were really huge and she's scared that they might turn into acne, coz she had it before. She asked her brother who just recently arrived in Denmark to buy some facial stuffs for her pimples and she's been reading the pamphlets that's attached to it on how to get rid of acne. I just hope it will work on her and I hope that my pimples will go away so soon too,:)

Baltic Home

Baltic Home is where we stayed while in Swinoujscie, Poland. It's a series of 3 apartments located in one of the cozy areas in Swinoujscie. I really felt so blessed to stay there for days coz the rent is pretty expensive, but it's all worth it coz it's clean and cozy. Thanks to Ate Bren and her family for giving me the chance to experience a luxurious living for days in Poland. It's really an unforgettable experience and I'll always cherish it. Life is really good and I thanks God for it!

You can read more about Baltic Home here.

Vacation mode is over!

Hi everyone! I'm finally back here in my apartment after a month of vacation and I'm so glad that vacation is finally over! I really enjoyed my vacation: the trip to Poland and my brother's visit here in Oslo, but it also feels boring towards the end of the vacation and it's also expensive. My savings is drained, that's why I am very eager to get back to work, hehehe. I miss doing something everyday and I miss blogging too, that's why I'm so excited to get back to work tomorrow.:)

I'll surely cherish my summer vacation 2008 coz a lot of things happened : good and bad, hehehe. Good things will always remain in my memory, as well as the bad things coz I learned a lot of lessons from the experiences.:)

Straight from Poland.....

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well! We arrived in Szczecin, Poland yesterday around 7pm and I am now blogging straight from Hotel Rycerski (pic below grabbed from http://www.hotelrycerski.pl).
We got difficulty looking for the hotel coz most of the people we asked don't speak English, but it was all worth it coz the hotel is nice and clean. We are occupying the Suite room, but Ate Bren is not satisfied coz there's no ref inside the room and the lobby is dark coz it only has few lights. She's very meticulous about hotels and their rooms coz she's working in a 5-star hotel in Norway.

Anyways, we went to bed early last night, around 12 midnight coz we were all tired from the long hours of driving (we've been driving for almost 24 hours all in all). I'm suppose to blog last night, but Anny (Ate's daughter) wants me to sleep already. And she also requested tht I'll sleep beside her, so I obliged coz she's our little boss, hehehe.

I'll blog more about our trip when I can,:) The rest are still asleep as of now. And tonight, we will be driving to another town near the coast and we will be staying there for 2 days. Ate's hubby said that 1 day in the City is enough.

More later folks and have a nice day to all!

Outbreak

Outbreak it is and it makes my heart aches,:( I was so touched by the movie and by the dedication of Col. Sam Daniels (Justin Hoffman) to solve the spreading of the Motaba virus. and I also admire him for his love for his ex-wife, Robby (Rene Russo).

And I felt inlove with Cuba Gooding Jr. too in his role as Major Salt, whose been so loyal to Daniels. Actually, it was only Cuba Gooding Jr. that I recognized in the film at first because I really like him since then. I don't know but I'm easily attracted to guys with brown to black skin color,:). And I only knew the rest of the actors and actresses of the film by reading the synopsis at wikipedia,:)

Another actor that I recognized in the film is Morgan Freeman, but I didn't remember his name though while watching the movie. I only got it after reading the synopsis. But I already watched him a lot of times before and I liked him too.

Anyways, the film is really a nice one and it's very entertaining. I watched it with Tonet and she loved the film too. I just hope McClintock was biten by the monkey carrying the Motaba virus because he's so arrogant and a liar. Good for him and he's arrested in the end.

My heart aches....

Ohh my, my heart is really aching after watching the movie "Outbreak",huhuhu. I was just done watching it from the local channel. And the story really pains me a lot. I'll be posting about the film separately after this post. I just want to blgo about Anny's reaction over my shouting, hehehe. Anny is the 5-year old daughter of Ate Bren and she was asking why I shouted and acted like crying after watching the film. and I said because I was touched by the movie. I'm not sure if she got what I said it in norwegian and I'm not good at it, so I doubt if she got what I meant. If not, then she'll for sure think that I'm getting crazy, hehehe.

Cold Mountain

This was the movie I watched on Thursday night. Ate Bren was busy packing their things for Poland and Kristiansand and so I also made myself busy, hehehe. I looked at her DVD collection and decided to watch the movie coz the synopsis at the back was nice and the artists are also famous. I watched the movie inside Ate's room, while she's also busy with her packing.

I really love the story and no wonder it got a lot of Oscar nominations. I can never forget the agony experienced by the soldier W.P. Inman (Jude Law) just to return to cold mountain after the war to be reunited with the love of his life, Ada (Nicole Kidman). And there was the lively and naughty Ruby (Renee Zellweger) who helped Ada to survive by teaching her how to live in the farm.

And I was so "kilig" when Ada and Inman finally met in the road,:) And as the film draws to an end, I fall asleep and when I woke up the picture in the TV screen was already still. so it means the movie was already finished and I don't even know how it ends, hehehe.b Ate Bren, her daughter and Tonet were already sleeping in the bed and I transfered to the other room and it was already about 4am.Grrrrrrrr.

Just read the synopsis of the movie at Wikipedia and here's the trailer from YouTube:

Trip to Lofoten....

Two of my friends, Ate Eves and Tonet, will be going to Lofoten, Norway this Tuesday. It's a place in Norway with a very nice nature and nice beaches. It's the place where there's 24 hours sun during summer and 24 hours darkeness during winter. They're going to visit Ate Bren's sister, Iya Helen, who is also married to a Norwegian guy. For sure they'll have a good time there too coz I already saw some pics of the place and it's truly wonderful.

Anyways, Tonet has been complaining coz she's been gaining weight. She already lost some weight before, but she's gaining it back now,:( I am encouraging her to do more exercise and watch the food that she's eating. And she said that maybe she'll try diet pills if she'll continue to gain weight. And so here I am, reading some diet pill reviews for her. Because I just don't want her to take a diet pill without making any research about it. I have to make sure that it's an effective and harmless one.

alone....

It's like the title of a song, but it's true, I am alone here in Ate Bren's place.:( I've been here since Thursday night together with my friend, Tonet. She went to the City to buy some things and I decided to stay home.

Ate Bren, her hubby and their daughter drove to Kristiansand yesterday morning and will be back this evening. They're really busy with their vacation and we'll be driving to Poland tomorrow evening. Good thing coz I can still attend the Sunday Mass tomorrow at 9:30am.

job hunting....

I've already started job hunting about 2 months ago since my contract here will soon end this October. I've already visited a lot of job sites, but I haven't found one that will fit my qualifications. Most of the job available are in the sales and IT industry and I don't think I can handle such works,:)

In my surfing a while ago, I stumbled into salesjobs.net. They have a lot of vacant positions, but all is in the sales industry. I admire people working in the sales industry because of their charisma in talking to customers, but I don't have such ability and I don't think I'll be a good sales person,:) So I just want to share the site you all of you, it might help those who are also looking for a job, especially sales manager jobs because they have a lot of vacant positions for it.

Just visit them and you may find the job that you've been looking for since then.

books for the trip...

I'll surely bring books for out trip to Poland, so I can have something to read when the driving gets a little bit boring or when everyone will be sleeping and there's no one to talk to,hehehe. But I'll just bring a few to avoid a heavy luggage,:) I'll bring my Purpose-Driven Life book and some novels. I already started ready "The Web" by Jonathan Kellerman, so I'll take it too and maybe one more book. I still have to decide which one,:)

will be disconnected for 6 days...

Though I'm already excited for our upcoming trip to Poland, but I'm also sad at the same time coz it means that I'll be disconnected from the blogging world for 6 days, huhuhuh. I won't be able to check my emails and my blogs during that time, so I better make most of my time now,:)

I just wish I have a notebook computer that I can take with me to Poland, so I can be online even for an hour just to check the latest happenings in the blogosphere. I can also take my lappy if I want to, but I don't think it's a nice idea though coz my lappy is a little bit heavy and we are suppose to relax and have fun in Poland. If I'll take my lappy, then the tendency is for me to just focus my attention on lappy and not on the nice views in Poland anymore. And for sure, Ate and Best won't be happy about it. So it's better that I don't take lappy with me to really enjoy to have a lot of bonding time for Best, Ate and her family. We have a lot of catching up to do since we haven't talk a lot lately coz of our busy scheds.

Thanks a lot guaps for thinking of me and for believing in me,:) I just knew her in few weeks ago through blogging, but it seems that we already knew each other for a long time coz we can talk about a lot of things. And what makes the bonding more easy is the fact that we are both bisdaks, hehehe. Thanks a lot for the friendship Guaps.

I'm sick...

I just got home yesterday from the SFL Singles Congress held in Oslo from July 4-6. It was a very inspiring and empowering weekend to all the 130 delegates. We had a fellowship after the congress where we took the boat trip along Oslo canal. But the weather was so bad coz it has been raining and very cold. But we still enjoyed the boat trip to the max. I forgot to bring my umbrella and I was wet from the rain. And yesterday, it was still raining and I came home without an umbrella. So the after effect, is a running nose, watering eyes and a sore throat. But it's ok coz I am still on a high from the great weekend. God is always good!

I already went to Ate Eve's place on Thursday and I went shopping with my friends. I bought some clothes coz there were a lot of sales in the shops. Imagine, we bought a dress for only 29 NOK (norwegian crowns) and the original price is 299 NOK. But my friends got irritated coz all the stuffs I bought are all in yellow color, hehehe. They said that I've been buying clothes from different stores, but then it's the same story coz it's all yellow, hehehe. So maybe, it's time for me to stop buying yellow stuffs coz I already have a lot of them. It's time to give chance to other colors as well, hehehe.

Vantage point

I just remember the movie Vantage Point as I ponder on the great movies I've watched in the past. I saw the movie few months ago and I really loved the story and the plot. It's unique and very thrilling. I always love movies with horror, thrilling and suspense themes and I'm not into love stories. Even in novels and books, I'm into love stories too,:)

The movie was filmed in Salamanca, Spain. The constant rewinding of the scene irritated me at times, but as I learned that it's showing another angle of the situation at the same time, it just made the movie more interesting and the story and the way the movie is presented is really unique. Here's a synopsis of the movie from Yahoo Movies UK:

Eight strangers with eight different points of view try to unlock the one truth behind an assassination attempt on the president of the United States. Thomas Barnes and Kent Taylor are two Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Spain, chaos ensues and disparate lives collide in the hunt for the assassin. In the crowd is Howard Lewis, an American tourist who thinks he's captured the shooter on his camcorder while videotaping the event for his kids back home. Also there, relaying the historic event to millions of TV viewers across the globe, is American TV news producer Rex Brooks. As they and others reveal their stories, the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place--and it will become apparent that shocking motivations lurk just beneath the surface.

His visit is confirmed....

Yohooo! The visit of my dearest brother here is already confirmed! He called me yesterday, telling me to look for cheap tickets and try to make a comparison of the expenses if he'll take the bus or the plane. And so, I did immediately and found out that it will be cheaper for him to take the bus, though there's also a sale on the plane ticket. Coz with the plane, he still have to take a bus to the airport and the bus fare is expensive. So we decided that he'll take the bus, and I already booked his ticket yesterday. He'll be arriving here on July 22 (early morning), very timely for Ate Eves 30th bday,:) For sure, it will be fun!

And now, I'm already thinking of buying something nice for him,:) I'll try to look at the stores in the city this weekend. Something that will fit his taste coz for sure, he won't appreciate if I'll give him gift baskets full of girly stuffs or foods. :)

Anyways, I still have 2 weeks to think about what to give him.

Baby Mama

This is the comedy movie I watched about 3 or 4 weeks ago and it made me laugh from beginning to end, hehehe. I just can't forget when Angie peed on the sink coz she can't open the toilet bowl coz of the locked installed as requested by Kate for the safety of the future baby, hehehe. And Angie's sticking of gums on the wooden, expensive table made me crazy too, hehehe.

Here's a synopsis of the movie from Yahoo Movies:

Successful and single businesswoman Kate Holbrook has long put her career ahead of a personal life. Now 37, she's finally determined to have a kid on her own. But her plan is thrown a curve ball after she discovers she has only a million-to-one chance of getting pregnant. Undaunted, the driven Kate allows South Philly working girl Angie Ostrowiski to become her unlikely surrogate. Simple enough. After learning from the steely head of their surrogacy center that Angie is pregnant, Kate goes into precision nesting mode: reading childcare books, baby-proofing the apartment and researching top pre-schools. But the executive's well-organized strategy is turned upside down when her Baby Mama shows up at her doorstep with no place to live. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object as structured Kate tries to turn vibrant Angie into the perfect expectant mom. In a comic battle of wills, they will struggle their way through preparation for the baby's arrival. And in the mid dle of this tug-of-war, they'll discover two kinds of family: the one you're born to and the one you make.

Maybe when I reached the same age as Kate, I'll lso consider hiring a surrogate mama for my future baby, hehehe. Nahhh, I'm just kidding. Artificial insemination is not a good idea for me, but adoption is an option for me though.

Anyways, the movie ends happily as Angie got married to her bf who got her preggy and Kate found the man of her life and got preggy too, her one-in-a-million chance. Here's the trailer of the movie from YouTube:

I would surely recommend this film to you. It's so entertaining!
